1. Introduction

Econ ("Econ", "we", "our", or "us") provides a software platform used by construction and equipment companies to manage projects, sites, equipment, and company users. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use Econ's web and mobile applications and related services.

This Privacy Policy is intended to meet common requirements under U.S. law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) where applicable. Individual customer contracts or data processing agreements may provide additional details or obligations.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the course of providing the Econ platform to you and your organization, including:

  • Identification and contact details, such as your name, phone number (used for authentication via Telegram), and work email when provided by you or your company administrator.
  • Account and authentication data, including login credentials, one-time login codes, and basic Telegram account identifiers needed to deliver those codes.
  • Project and site information, such as project names, site locations, schedules, trips, deliveries, and related operational records entered into Econ by you or your organization.
  • Equipment and trip data, including identifiers for equipment, usage statistics, status changes, and reports generated through the platform.
  • Usage and log information, such as the features you use, access times, device/browser type, and diagnostic logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.
  • Location-related information where enabled by your organization (for example, approximate site or equipment location) to support project and equipment workflows.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating Econ, including authenticating users, enabling Telegram-based login, and supporting day-to-day project, site, equipment, and user management.
  • Maintaining security, preventing fraud and misuse, and protecting the platform, our users, and our customers.
  • Analyzing usage to improve and develop features, performance, and user experience.
  • Communicating with you about your account, service updates, and support requests.
  • Complying with applicable law, legal process, and lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your project or equipment data for advertising.

4. Sharing of information

We share information only as necessary to operate Econ and as permitted by your organization:

  • With your organization and authorized users, consistent with how Econ is configured for your company (for example, project owners and site managers can view relevant project and site data).
  • With service providers and infrastructure partners that host, secure, or support Econ, under contracts that require them to protect your information.
  • With Telegram, solely for the purpose of delivering login codes to the phone number you provide.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

5. Data security and retention

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Authentication is handled securely, including the use of Telegram for login codes and access tokens with expiration.

We retain personal and project data for as long as necessary to provide the service to your organization, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods may be governed by your company's contract with us.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, such as the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and the right to request deletion of certain information, subject to applicable exceptions.

Because Econ is typically provided to you through your employer or another organization, many requests about access, correction, or deletion will be handled in coordination with that organization. To exercise your rights, please contact your company administrator first. We will cooperate with your organization to respond to valid requests.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Econ application.
